Prevention and management of concomitant infections in people living with HIV
Co-infections represent a critical burden for populations of people living with HIV. These include tuberculosis and hepatitis viruses and, more recently, COVID-19 and mpox. This symposium will focus on the latest advances in the prevention, diagnosis and management of these conditions where people living with HIV are over represented. The focus will be on populations living with HIV and how these co-infections differ for people living with and without HIV, the latest science on effective interventions in people with living HIV and also research on how to best implement effective interventions to minimize the morbidity and mortality of these HIV co-infections.
